How to achieve good physical condition



The first factor, which leads to happiness, is the good physical condition. It is mandatory to be in good physical condition to achieve happy state. There are many requirements, which we should fulfill to be in shape (e.g. enough sleep, good food, sport). In the following we will discuss in detail all factors. Let’s start with the first one: enough sleep.
Enough sleep
Every human being needs sleep to recover his strength and to relax. Some people need more sleep 8-9 hours and some people feel well with 6-7 hours. We have to find out how much sleep is optimal for us.
If we don’t have time to catch 8 hours of sleep sometimes we can feel better after sleeping just 4 than 6. Too much sleep is also not so good. This makes us feel lazy and demotivated. I found out that for me the magic number is 8. If I cannot catch the 8 hours of sleep for 3-4 days in a row then I feel tired. Therefore we should pay attention and work towards good amount of sleep:
1. Convenient atmosphere: our room should be peaceful - without bright light and too much noise in the early morning. For the bright light we can install curtains, window blind or use an eye mask and for the noise consider using ear plugs.
Our bed is our castle so we need also convenient pillow, blanket and mattress.
The temperature in the room shouldn’t be too hot, but also not too cold. You should test it with the different steps of the heater.
If you did all of that and still cannot achieve good and healthy sleep then the problem is mental and that leads us to the second point.
2. Mental peace: if we are under stress or we have too much thoughts and ideas then we cannot get asleep or we wake up in the middle of the night and start thinking about some thoughts and ideas. In some cases this can lead to some very creative solutions, but our goal is to use the night for sleep and the day for creative solutions.
It is good to be aware of what disturbs us? If we are aware of the challenge, we can find the solution before we go to sleep or postpone the finding of the solution for the next day. But it is very important to go to sleep without any disturbing questions.
One hour before we go to bed, we should avoid any disturbing situations, which raise our adrenaline level (e.g. interpersonal conflicts, caffeine, dealing with finances, dealing with stuff that can be overstimulation for us).Caffeine can generally affect our sleep, even taking over the day. You should test how caffeine affects your sleep.
Before we go to bed it is good to go to relaxing and meditating state. We can listen to meditating music and free our head and our mind from all disturbing thoughts. Just concentrate on the breathing and how good we feel, when we don’t think about anything. All the challenges and questions are far away and we are going to meet them tomorrow, when we are full of energy after peaceful, healthy sleep.
